Our client is looking a senior level technologist, with very strong expertise in Capital Market and Trading systems (equities and derivatives: NOT fixed income, Forex, or OTC). They must have 10+ years of successful experience in IT gained within  either a bank or broker or possibly within the trading industry.
The successful candidate must have International experience within both the UK and Continental Europe and be able to  in manage both local and remote teams. They will also have a very good understanding of trading mechanisms (order driven Markets), Market Data business, MIFID regulation (equities and listed derivatives markets). This must be combined with a very good knowledge in Network design and operations. Experience within  an algo. trading environment would also be useful. The technology skills required include a good understanding and analysis capability of the whole development process (spec, design, coding, UAT, QA), and fair background in Hardware / OS / software environment. Finally, you must possess first class presentation and communication skills and be available to start quickly
